Dr Scott Barker holds an MBChB from the University of Pretoria and diplomas in Aesthetics and Anti-Ageing Medicine. He has been practising aesthetic medicine for over 15 years and is genuinely passionate about the field, not in a marketing sense, but in the sense that he reads, attends conferences and thinks carefully about what he does and why. Dr Barker is a Fotona preferred service provider and an Aptos preferred service provider — two designations reserved for practitioners who meet the respective manufacturers' standards for training, case volume and treatment outcomes.
He has a reputation for a great eye and an artistry that patients consistently remark on. More than that, he is known for being direct. If you come in asking for something he doesn't think you need, or something that won't give you the result you're hoping for, he will tell you. I don't upsell. If you come in asking for something I don't think you need, I'll tell you. I'd rather send you away having spent less and feeling great about it than walk you out with a treatment plan designed around my revenue. My patients come back because they trust me, not because I've locked them into a package.

On being accessible
I answer my own phone and my own WhatsApp. Even when you book through the website chatbot, it comes directly to me and I confirm your appointment personally. If you have a question before you come in, message me. If you've just had a treatment and something feels off, message me. I'm accessible because I think that's what good care looks like.

This is a small express clinic for busy people. No champagne, no chandeliers. Just great advice, excellent results and no surprise bill at the end. I set it up the way I'd want to be treated as a patient, personal, efficient and completely honest.

On Wednesday evenings
I know my patients are busy, that's the whole point of this practice. For those who can't get away during the day, the clinic is open Wednesday evenings from 5pm to 9pm. So your Botox doesn't have to wait until the weekend.
